Story of Eino

June is the month of queer people, called pride month. Here in Finland, you won’t miss the flag of the LGBTQI community. Despite being one of the most liberal countries towards queer people, Finland still has its problems – for example, it is one of the last EU countries that still requires sterilization before correcting gender in official documents.

We bring you the story of Eino, who run away to Finland from Russia. Although he says Finland is much safer for him, even here he has not escaped discrimination based on being transgender.
